Antiseptics – Homemade antiseptics to limit or stop the growth of microscopic germs
In our day to day life getting cuts or bruises is a common thing. It is more habitually found with children and women working in kitchen. Though such small cuts and bruises are not that serious, however the after effects if not treated are serious. Anyways who will ever like to be in pain? The environment that we live in may look clear to our eye but that’s not the fact an also not the truth. There are various germs and microscopic germs that are floating in this air which are not visible to the naked eye. However these microscopic germs affect a lot and play a very dangerous role in disintegrating the condition of cuts and wounds. This can further lead to septic condition which will make the wound very serious and the condition worse.
An antiseptic for a layman is an ointment or lotion which is applied to the wounds so that the wound gets healed quickly. However, an antiseptic does much more than that. Generally open wounds are attacked by microscopic organisms named bacteria. This microscopic organism with the help of oxygen and a little bit of moisture affects the wounds to a greater extent. Thus the condition gets worse and it may even lead to septic condition. In order to prevent this antiseptics are used. Precisely, antiseptics are anti-microbial substances which inhibit the growth of bacteria or neutralize their effect on wounds and bruises. This is the only reason because of which antiseptics are also known as antibacteria![]()
